Doma Weekly: ICANN Reveal Day, Product Updates and Bot Battles

TL;DR: ICANN finally showed us the full list of next-round extensions, two of our core Doma pages got a ground-up rework, our bot trading competition Model Kombat went live, and the numbers kept climbing. Big week. Let's get into it.

Product Updates

Two major feature pushes:

  • Explore is now a single merged domains table with inline filters and its own route per table. The new filter bar also made its way to the portfolio tabs
  • The Trading tab got a full revamp: new page header, chart, stats row, activity tables, AI overview and a Community section, plus a taller desktop chart and a better phone layout
  • Updated the /start onboarding videos and lightened the hero globe animation so it runs better on slower devices. Check it out here
  • Several bug fixes and a security patch rounded out the week

Doma By The Numbers

Another strong week of growth across the board. Volume crossed a new milestone with $516M+, adding roughly $30M over the week, and transactions grew by about 1.5M along the way.

➤ Total Volume: $516.12M
➤ Total Transactions: 43,443,500
➤ Total Tokenized Assets: 260,752
➤ Total Wallets: 60,327
➤ Domains Launched: 767

Doma onAir: ICANN Reveal Day

We went live on Wednesday for ICANN Reveal Day. On October 7, ICANN published the full list of new internet extensions that companies, communities and projects applied for, and who applied for each one. We went through it live on Doma onAir with domain industry veteran Jothan Frakes and D3's Fred Hsu and Kathy Nielsen.

Community Corner

Doma MCP was the talk of the week, people trading tokens with their agents and sharing what they tried. On the Frontier side, the vault expansion kept the conversation going too: Solana via Loopscale is live, Hyperliquid is next, and new TLDs have been teased. ICANN Reveal Day plus the Domain Supercycle X Space rounded out the top topics.

And the community had something new to play with this week:
Model Kombat, our AI trading competition, is live. Trade with bots, climb the ranks, take a robot-battle break. Everyone plays for a shared token prize pool - hit targets together, unlock more rewards.

How it works:

  1. Connect & enter. Connect the wallet you use on Doma and enter the competition. Join here.
  2. Trade & track. Use Doma Strategies or MCP to trade Doma domain tokens. Follow your trades, rankings and unlocked rewards.
  3. Play. Build and upgrade robots for automatic battles, or jump into the free 2D arcade.

This week's walkthrough covers how to add and withdraw funds. You don't need a wallet, an exchange account or any prior experience.

It shows how to deposit with a debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and how to withdraw back to your bank account or an exchange whenever you want. In the video:

Looking Ahead

Reveal Day gave us the first real look at the next internet, and now it's about who ends up with what. With new TLDs on the way and the product getting easier to use every week, there's plenty to keep an eye on.
