Doma Weekly: Building the Future of DomainFi

Doma Weekly: Building the Future of DomainFi

The Doma ecosystem continues to push forward on all fronts. Here are the main highlights.

Product Highlights

Protocol & Infrastructure

  • Onchain DNS Management is now live on Devnet, paving the way for Subdomain releases in upcoming marketplace builds.
  • Subdomains will be implemented using staking contracts and onchain DNS management instead of synthetic tokens. Users will be able to set wallet mappings for subdomains at launch, with full DNS and secondary trading support planned for the 7.1.0 release.
  • Internal improvements included extended cache timeouts to reduce CoinMarketCap/Coingecko API load, Privy fanout optimizations, and LayerZero devnet configuration for bridging.

Brand Integration

We’ve begun merging our launchpad and our dashboard under the Doma brand.
This consolidation means that the protocol, dashboard, and launchpad will now operate as a unified ecosystem, simplifying identity, improving user trust, and aligning all future updates under a single brand experience.

As part of this transition, Doma will serve as both the protocol and the primary user-facing layer across all domains and marketplace components.

Doma Launchpad

  • The Pool feature is now dev-ready
  • A full design refresh is underway, focusing on clarity, market flow, and improved trading visibility.
  • Documentation and user journey mapping have started for the upcoming release cycle.

Doma Dashboard

  • Authentication validation moved client-side, fixing refresh-related loading loops.
  • Added copy-to-clipboard for offerers wallet addresses, dynamic CTA switching after listing, and bulk listing wizard fixes.
  • Introduced Portfolio TLD filters, UX refinements, and OS Orderbook integration design.
  • Improved LogIn Captcha flow with a 6.4.1 hotfix for smoother onboarding.

Interstellar

  • Added coupon support in the External API and moved Transfer routes outside auth guards for faster execution.
  • Expanded compatibility with Doma’s DNS integration for seamless asset redemptions and onchain interactions.

Product Research & GTM

  • Landing page development has begun, designed to simplify onboarding for new users.
  • Ongoing research is focused on optimizing asset flows and stable bridge deployments (via dRPC and Coinflow).
  • Coinflow integration will introduce on/off-ramp functionality to Doma Chain, with CB support planned next.

Partner & Ecosystem Updates

  • EnCirca successfully tokenized their first domain.
  • InternetX began Testnet integration and resolved API permissions.
  • NicNames provided actionable feedback on bridge flow, which has already been implemented.
  • At the ICANN84 Annual General Meeting in Doma and ENS hosted a joint session with a live demo, implementation guidance, and office hours for registries, registrars, and partners
  • Doma partnered up with registrar ConnectReseller to further the DomainFi movement.

Just in:

  • LayerZero integration continues to expand Doma’s cross-chain interoperability, enabling seamless domain and data transfers across supported chains and networks.

Founder Spotlights

Interview with Michael Ho: Our CBO sat down with The Defiant to discuss the rise of DomainFi, the evolution of Doma, and why domains represent one of the largest untapped real-world assets (RWAs) on the internet, a $100B+ market still in its early stages. Check out the interview here.

The Next $100B DeFi Market: Real DNS Domains - “The Defiant”
Domains are one of the largest untapped asset classes on the internet — 360M+ names, most of them not even hosting a site. They’re traded like real estate, through slow, trust-based, broker-intermediated systems with fees as high as 30%.

AMA Session with Inder: Our VP of Product & Tech joined to share insights on what’s next for Doma, Mizu, and the broader future of DomainFi.
